Studio Ectypos — Kirkland, WA
A single family residence constructed on a 30' wide waterfront lot with limited access. The owner wanted a warehouse like space that was essential in the expression of structure and layout and that maximized the potential of the site. The resulting building, like a pier, is long and narrow relying on a sophisticated architectural solution to create a light, open space which maximizes view, maintains privacy and respects the scale and quality of the neighborhood.
