Whidbey Bluff House

For a Seattle couple seeking a quiet island refuge, we’re replacing a collection of simple sheds once used for sleeping, cooking, and storage with a two-bedroom, two-bath retreat. Influenced by Norwegian architect Wenche Selmer, our design embraces an elemental roof form and balances craft and performance, offering a contemporary take on the traditional hytte.
