How we work
Every successful project begins with a shared vision. During this phase, architect and client establish the goals, priorities, and guiding principles that will shape the design.. Through thoughtful conversations, we develop a deep understanding of the client's lifestyle, aspirations, and functional needs while evaluating the site's character, opportunities and constraints, zoning and code requirements, schedule, and budget.
This is the exploratory phase, where ideas take shape. Together, architects and clients evaluate a range of design possibilities through space planning, sketches, physical models, and three-dimensional renderings. The objective is to refine these ideas into a clear architectural concept that establishes the project's overall character and direction.
With the design concept established, the project is refined in greater detail. Room proportions, architectural elements, materials, and finishes are thoughtfully developed while structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems are seamlessly integrated. Sustainability and long-term performance remain central considerations throughout the process.
The approved design is translated into a comprehensive set of construction drawings and specifications that clearly communicate the project's intent. These documents provide the information necessary for permitting, contractor pricing, and construction, ensuring that everyone involved shares a common understanding of the project's design and quality expectations.
Successful construction depends on a strong partnership between client, architect, and contractor. Throughout construction, we remain actively engaged by reviewing shop drawings and material submittals, visiting the site, responding to questions, monitoring progress, certifying payments, and helping resolve unforeseen conditions to ensure the design is executed with care and fidelity.
