Lakeside Camp

Lakeside Camp photo 1

This new lakeside summer camp was designed to faithfully capture the spirit of a traditional 1920’s cottage. Most of the materials used came from local sources, including exposed interior studs, milled with 19th century techniques at a nearby sawmill. The stone was also harvested locally, and built by a mason using traditional methods. The poetics of this place are rooted in the gentle rituals and narrative of lakeside summer life in Maine.
