On a gently sloping site with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the new residence and guest house are a composition of earthen concrete, glass, steel, and water. The site-specific design is highly resilient to local climate risks. The architecture’s pavilion, earthen hillside lower levels, and water roofs all subtly emboss and deboss the existing contours of the landscape.
