Malboeuf Bowie Architecture is a small firm focused on the highly crafted new home, remodel, and multi-family building design in Seattle and the northwest. We offer an entire range of services, from complete architectural, interior, and landscape design to furniture and functional product design.
Our design approach is one that unifies site influences with the character and needs of the client. A distinctive aesthetic is consistent in our design solutions, although our work does not adhere to a specific style. In each project, we adapt our architecture to express efficient use of space, creative use of materials, and strong interior/exterior connections.
We have a strong background in energy efficient, sustainable architecture.
Tiffany began her design career in Interior Architecture. She studied Interior Architecture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After completing her degree she worked as an interior architect in commercial and residential firms in the Bay Area. She decided to pursue architecture and completed her graduate degree in Southern California where she found her interest laid in the role of technology and environmental consideration in the creation of space. It was while working at Ali Tayar s office in New York City where she was able to explore CNC fabrication, modular design and prefabrication in hospitality, commercial and residential projects. She was also the Project Lead for a 7,000 Net Zero high-end residence. After moving to Seattle in 2008, Tiffany has continued her interests and is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of Built Green.
Prior to his graduate studies, Joseph completed a design and communications degree and worked in New York for a web design firm offering his graphic design skills. His passion for modern design and a desire to work on larger projects lead him to Architecture. While in graduate school, Joseph interests expanded to include Urban Design in his studies. After grad school, Joseph worked for a multifaceted architecture firm in New York City. Joseph managed and designed largescale multifamily and mid-rise structures in Manhattan. Since moving to Seattle, Joseph has worked in Residential and Civic projects in the Seattle Area. He is also interested in minimizing the impact of construction on our environment. Joe is a firm believer of Urban Infill and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
