Dimit Architects was founded in the fall of 2004 by Scott Dimit and Analia Nanni Dimit, as a natural outgrowth of their shared design beliefs. Dimit Architects has a particular interest in helping to preserve and augment the historical built fabric of Northeast Ohio, while at the same time remaining environmentally-responsible and aware of the limited and fragile eco-resources that remain available for our use.
Dimit Architects LLC offers full-scope architectural services for residential, commercial, renovation, interiors, and urban design projects. Principal Scott Dimit has over twenty-eight years of experience as a project designer, architect, and manager, and has completed award-winning projects throughout the United States and abroad. Director of Interior Architecture Analia Nanni Dimit has fifteen years of experience in residential and commercial interior design, urban design, and master planning projects, garnered both here in Ohio and previously in her native Argentina, and leads efforts in master planning and interior architecture projects. “We approach every project as a unique collaboration, each with specific opportunities, objectives, and discoveries evolved from the earliest phases of work. We like to think of the architect’s role as that of a ‘creative enabler’, and we embrace a team approach from the initial schematic concepts through the development of construction documents, and ultimately through the construction phase...”
Projects recently completed include the restoration and renovation of the ASM International Headquarters, a masterwork of collaboration between Cleveland modernist architect John Terrence Kelly and the noted inventor and designer, R. Buckminster Fuller. Constructed in 1959, the ASM building is the first “modern” historical project in Ohio to be restored with the support of the National Parks Service and State of Ohio state and federal tax-credit funding program, and was re-occupied by ASM in August of 2011.
Construction is underway for the second phase of residences at the 11 River Townhouses development in Rocky River, Ohio, featuring eleven dramatic waterfront residences fronting the Rocky River. The five residences in the first phase of the project will be occupied in the spring of 2012, and the second phase should be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2013.
