Ronnie Self has worked in Texas, London, New York and Paris. Since 1999 he is Principal of Ronnie Self Architect in Houston.
He was a designer and collaborator in the Paris office of Renzo Piano Building Workshop for twelve years. Among other projects he was the Architect in Charge of the Atelier Brancusi Reconstruction for the Centre National d’Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou.
Self is registered in Texas and France.

Ronnie Self is an Associate Professor at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston and Coordinator of Level III Graduate Design.
Ronnie Self is the American correspondent for the French architectural magazine Archicréé. He has also been published in the magazines Architectura Viva, Cite, and Texas Architect. His articles have focused primarily on art museums.
